10,000 books for 10,000 kids Campaign
Earlier this year, Moto staff around the UK held various fundraising events specifically to fund the presentation of 10,000 new fictions books to our 10,000 adopted school children. We are very proud to partner with the Oxford Unversity Press in their centenary year.
Oxford University Press is a department of the University of Oxford. It furthers the University’s objective of excellence in research, scholarship and education by publishing worldwide. 100 years after founding its first children’s books imprint, Oxford continues to publish a wide range of prize winning children’s fiction, non-fiction, picture books.
Oxford University Press has made it possible for us to purchase more than 10,000 fiction books to enrich the lives of our adopted children.

We have also been supported by specialist publishers Barrington whose mission is to help children enjoy reading. Barrington Stoke publish accessible, enjoyable and unpatronising short books for children who are dyslexic, struggling to read, or simply reluctant to sit down with a book.
With the support and advice given by both these organisations, the Trust has really made a difference to the library resources of our adopted schools.
The Trust are now focussing on continuing with this campaign into 2008 focusing on supporting our schools with resources that will enthuse those children who find reading difficult.
