| Through the network of 48 service areas around the UK, the Trust encourages Moto sites to establish relationships with community
charities that they believe they can make a
difference to. Once a relationship has been
established Moto sites can apply for a
community grant for their chosen community
charity. |

The Moto in the Community Trust actively looks at the 48 communities around the UK that they are part of. The Trust will then identify community projects that could benefit from the resources of the Trust. This objective links with the 'making a difference' staff volunteering scheme, by combining the opportunity for staff to offer physical assistance as well as funding through the Community Grant Scheme. |
The Trust has launched its own employee voluntary scheme – the 'making a difference' programme.
The Scheme focuses on supporting staff who would like to give their time to worthwhile community projects. The Trust allows Moto People to take time away from their normal job to assist with community projects/causes that matter to them personally. The Trust has just introduced reading buddies to schools in our adopted school network. Click here to read more. |

The Moto in the Community Trust will explore opportunities to educate staff and customers of their motorway service areas on road safety issues that effect motorway safety as well as community road safety.
The Trust also seeks to support environmental community groups that take an active role in their environment. The Trust will look for practical conservation projects such as clearing ponds, river banks, overgrown areas, tidying footpaths, creating playgrounds and community gardens that Moto staff can become involved with. |
